Social Security for Street Vendors

Street vendor play an important role in urban unorganized sector. Approximately 2% of urban population is involved in street vending in which numbers of women vendor in higher than male vendors. These people solve their problem of livelihood by their hard work and less resource. Government authority generally thinks that these people create problem in systematic transportation and beautification of the city.     
These street vendors are the back bone for a society they help the citizens by providing basic and daily need item at our door step on an affordable price. This segment plays an important role for the stability of local economy.        

The vision social security of street vendor involves:

  • To organize them in an association so that they can play an important role in state level policy formation.
  • To make them aware about better health care and Sanitary practice at work site as well as personal end.
  • To build up their capacity for optimum utilization of un sale product.
  • To provide them alternate livelihood options.
  •  Child development through the welfare activities.
